It's About More Than the Game

One of the best parts of the game isn’t always what happens on the field — it’s the people you meet, the relationships you build, and the memories you create along the way.

At Athletes Headquarters Foundation, we’ve been fortunate to see firsthand how the world of sports can bring people together in meaningful ways. We’re especially grateful for the friendship between our Co-Founder, Derek Shomon, and Christian Vázquez of the Houston Astros — and even more grateful to have Christian in our corner as a supporter of the Athletes HQ Foundation.

Christian is not only an incredible baseball player who has enjoyed a remarkable career at the highest level of the game, but he is also someone who understands the importance of giving back. His willingness to support our mission means so much to us and serves as another reminder of the impact that athletes can have beyond the field.

Our Foundation was created with the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to experience the benefits of sports, fitness, health, and wellness, regardless of their circumstances. Supporters like Christian help us continue working toward that goal and creating opportunities and experiences that kids may not otherwise have access to.

For us, this is what makes the game so special. It’s the friendships, the connections, the people who open doors for others, and the opportunity to use something we all love — sports — to make a positive difference in the lives of young people.

We’re incredibly thankful to Christian for being part of the AHQF family and for believing in what we’re working to accomplish. We look forward to continuing to build relationships, create memories, and make an impact together.

Here’s to the friendships that start through the game, the connections that last long after the final out, and the people who remind us that sports can be about so much more than what happens on the field. Its about more than the game
